The list is missing the Johnstown Flood of 1889, which had quite a high number of fatalities. I tried to insert it, but I was unable to figure out how to do it correctly. Someone please do that. Thank you. 207.237.139.174 (talk) 04:16, 1 June 2011 (UTC) Allen Roth[reply]

The list is missing the California wildfires and other wildfires along the Pacific Coast. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_California_wildfires — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.99.158.58 (talk) 16:36, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Besides the Johnstown Flood, in which over 2,200 people died, a number of other disasters are missing, e.g

1811 Missouri 7.2 - 8.1 New Madrid earthquakes 1857 California 7.9 2 deaths 1857 Fort Tejon earthquake

Suggestion: Merge or reformat

This is very similar to List of United States disasters by death toll. Perhaps this list should either be merged there or turn this into a less of a "death toll" list. (Cf. List of disasters in Canada vs. List of Canadian disasters by death toll.) —Mrwojo (talk) 22:24, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of activity

How come the last disaster listed in 2018?

For example according to the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season we has 20 depression, 18 storms, 6 hurricanes, 3 major hurricanes, 119 fatalities, and $11.61 billion damage. Yet not a single entry. Why? I don't mind updating it the list but seems strange no one has added a single thing since 2018. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Desacrasa (talkcontribs) 13:59, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
