Fausto is an 1831 opera by Louise Bertin.[1] It premiered at the Théâtre-Italien Paris 7 March 1831, and ran for three performances.[2] This opera is not an adaptation of the Faust legend: rather,it is a comedic opera concerning a lecherous vineyard owner in Apulia, the Fausto of the title.
