Summary of Video games WikiProject open tasks:

More real-world info + "Marvel's"

Other than #Reception, this draft currently contains some in-universe info like Games (mostly plot), Characters (table), and etc. I believe once we add more real-world info.. then this can move to mainspace. Perhaps a summarized version of Spider-Man (2018 video game) § Development and bits from Spider-Man: Miles Morales § Production could suffice.

I'd try removing some of the excessive "Marvel's" everytime you introduce a game's title. The "Marvel's" is simply branding and the article titles even omit them. I'll go ahead and be bold and move this page to Draft:Spider-Man (Insomniac Games series). Pinging @RebelYasha:. — SirDot (talk) 18:24, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's fair. I only attached the "Marvel's" moniker because I wanted it to reflect how the game's been marketed and titled by Insomniac and Marvel themselves during all the promo stuff since it was part of the game's branding to distinguish it from other video games based on the character.
I initially wasn't going to add a Development section if only because the similar article for the Batman Arkham games doesn't seem to document that kind of stuff since it's already present in the articles for the individual games of that series, but for the sake of including more real-world info I can look into that RebelYasha (talk) 21:06, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE: It's done. I also added the extra tidbits uncovered recently from that Ultimate History of Video Games Vol. 2 book that went into extensive detail about Marvel shopping the IP around before eventually electing Sony for Spider-Man, since that's a pivotal part of how the series materialized. Good work. I can swing by (see what I did there?) and do some c/e tomorrow morning/when I wake up. — SirDot (talk) 22:47, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 29 December 2022

Spider-Man (Insomniac Games series)Marvel's Spider-Man (video game series) – The series is referred to by its full name in most promotional media, as well as the developer's official website, which is distinctive from various other Spider-Man video games or media in general. Per WP:COMMONNAME this should suffice as the appropriate title for the page. The boss 1904 (talk) 16:47, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
