Just a matter of curiosity - if this is an 8-hour exposure, did that figure in the photo stand there still all that time? --Dumarest 11:19, 16 March 2007 (UTC)—[reply]

There are no people in this picture. The first picture with a person in it was Image:Boulevard du Temple.jpg, taken in 1838 or 1839. howcheng {chat} 16:25, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I made the same mistake. The image which appears to be a person leaning over a worktable is actually some texture from a building in the distance. --Steve, Sm8900 16:30, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, you tell me what I saw, and I agree. The smaller version on the main page really does look like a person though!! --Dumarest 20:11, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think the "person" is texture on a building. I think it's a tree, and the "worktable" is a roof.Seaside rendezvous (talk) 14:07, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also, is it "View from the workroom" or "View from the window?" The name and info in the article do not match.StvnLunsford 12:11, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know where this was actually taken? Does it still exist? Were there any better picture taken of the same view at a later time? Has anyone tried to reconstruct the objects in the scene? Tjamison 17:59, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

france was involved in two world wars and some obscure 19th century wars so i dont think it would be around today--208.19.15.163 (talk) 14:14, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
